The Bernhard Flinks Seminar was a great success. We had a total of 14 participants including 4 police service dogs.
Aron (18mon GSD) unfortunately was a little lame, I think from running at 100mph through the dining room on the slippery wood floor, picture the Roadrunner when he takes off running on the stop... So he concentrated on tracking and taking a step back has increased his focus and attention to each step. Luckily we dont have fire ants but at this time of year there were many regular ants on the pieces of food and it was a distraction.
Madison (3.5yr Rott) with her legendary food drive ignored the ants and sniffed out every piece of food, pausing only to sneeze. I worked her basic position, simple heeling, out of motion excercises and was happy with her progress. At some point in the last 6 months she became stick sensitive so we worked on that and she improved greatly over the course of the seminar.
